Dubai Conference & Exhibition 2018
Our client Havas Lynx is one of the UK’s top PR & Communications agencies, and their client is a global pharmaceutical company called Novo Nordisk. The event was a 2-day interactive learning/training exhibition with dedicated learning & content sessions for delegates (across 6 exhibition spaces) in Dubai. Involving over 120 delegates, from 24 different countries. The aim of the event was to provide the roll out and training for the Novo Nordisk 2019 campaign strategy, situational selling sessions and best practice sessions.
In terms of event production, the brief for Make Happen was to design, plan, produce and deliver all aspects of the event, working closely with both Havas Lynx and Novo Nordisk. This includes managing all the technical aspects of the event.
As we regularly work alongside the team at Havas Lynx, we knew the event needed to be fresh, tech-centric and forward thinking. After sitting down with the client and reviewing the requirements for the year’s event it was evident that there was potential for Make Happen to come up with something to elevate the event and truly generate engagement with delegates.
Aligned with the brief, and the expectations of both Havas Lynx and Novo Nordisk, the focus was on producing an innovative, well executed and engaging exhibition. To come up with a modular solution that could be adapted to suit the space/graphics and can be used interchangeably throughout the day. Make Happen managed the entire event production process, including design, planning, production and event & venue management. Make Happens responsibilities included all aspects of event production – site visits, control of budget & scope, requirements & quality management, regulations & permits, venue & sub-contractor management, branded exhibition & graphics & display stands, design & planning of venue & exhibition spaces and dedicated display/exhibition & learning areas, all AV & lighting & furniture, all tech digital displays, management of presentations/graphics/content, gamification, speaker sessions, hub areas, panel discussions & food/drinks/social dinner spaces experiences, health & safety, plus general support to the event organiser.
Excellent team-work between an integrated team from Make Happen, Havas Lynx, Novo Nordisk and the Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights. Thanks to the success of the previous year’s work and the scale of the agenda for 2018, 2018’s event had grown in both size and ambition. Stage design, AV, event formats and augmented reality took the event to a new level, ensuring great feedback from all stakeholders. Delegates experienced a wide selection of activities over the two days from gamification, event apps, selling workshops, best practice sessions and a social dinner.
