Incentive trends for 2021/22
There’s a buzz in the air, a hunger and an atmosphere that is truly infectious. The incentives industry is bouncing back and we couldn’t be happier to see our customers and friends doing what they love the most.
From conversations we’ve had with customers, we can see a real step change within the industry with companies taking a leap of faith to unite their teams together again through real life incentives.
We’ve taken a close look at what these companies are doing, so we can have the confidence to bounce back, together. And here are our key takeaways…
Incentives are back with a bang
There are many sales and marketing teams that haven’t been rewarded for building the pipeline for the following year. There are tonnes of overdue trips that need to be organised and at Make Happen, we’re seeing many clients trying to make up for lost rewards with extra-special incentives.
When & where
The most common question we’re being asked by our clients is around what destination is safe to travel to and it’s completely understandable for people across the world to think of unsafe/safe destinations.
However, all destinations are, and were once wonderfully beautiful as they were. The consideration needs to go into what is best suited for the group, the objectives and the status of that destination in 6/12 months from now.
We’re seeing customers booking incentives for Q3 & Q4 of 2021 and Q1 & 2 of 2022. We’ve got clients particularly interested in Ibiza, Cape Town, New York, Miami, Budapest, Reykjavik and Switzerland.
And of course, many more! We have over 40 destinations detailed out for our customers to choose from that you can explore further here.
Safety is a priority
People are naturally selecting destinations carefully on a local and global basis. Everybody is thinking about it and we have to prioritise it. You can learn how other businesses are practising safe incentives, here.
Everybody wants flexibility
Flexibility for incentives, specifically contracts, hotels & activity programmes, is naturally very important. By helping our clients through 2020 and 2021 we have developed modern, forward thinking approaches providing maximum flexibility.
We understand how important flexibility is and we’re pleased that many of our 2021 clients are coming to us because of the low risk, maximum flexibility favourable terms that we are offering them for our incentive programmes.
