This page gives you: questions, a travel tool, positivity, confidence, safety guidance, updates on restrictions & quarantine rules, destination reports, and more.

Questions to consider .. how is your business managing safety & confidence? who are you trusting for safety guidance? do you have a good/single source for safety updates? do you have a global map & safety guides? how are your sales teams selling? are your meetings & events positive & motivating? do you have safety plans for your meetings & incentives? do you have all the information you need? how are you managing ‘restrictions’ across countries? which airlines & hotels are the best for safety? do you have check lists for your travellers? how are you managing everything? is your business planning for growth?

Safety is the number one priority for everyone, globally. The good news is – safety & risk management has already been addressed by many global safety advisors, health organisations, governments, airlines, hotels, suppliers, experts and people. There is lots of rational & practical safety advice available – to enable the safe management of (and participation with) meetings, incentives, conferences & events. Our safety guide has been produced by using fact-checked information from global safety advisors (health organisations, governments, airlines, airports, transport associations, hotels, convention bureau’s, MICE organisations, and safety specialists). Make Happen have been managing safety & risk for 8 years – for businesses, groups, travel, destinations, health, transport, venues, hotels, food, risks & insurance. Everything we do carries risk, which we manage using classic project & risk management techniques. In 2020, 4 customers asked us to produce 2 large meetings for 120 & 65 pax, and 2 incentives for 55 & 110 pax. This is relevant, as it required Make Happen to complete very detailed planning for ‘safety & confidence’ for our customers, which resulted in Make Happen being one of only a few MICE agencies who specialised deeply in safety during 2020 to 2021. The good news is – we can now share this work with you – to help you organise safe meetings & incentives, and increase stakeholder confidence.

How we can help you – take a look below .. if you want advice, guidance, or some actual help, get in touch, we’d love to hear from you. If you have any safety concerns or challenges, we will fix them with you. Why our customers asked for our help with safety & confidence: Everyone wants more positivity, confidence and safety (especially in 2020 & 2021). The negativity and anxiety has been created by the media/news/governments, and science explains why its created instinctive fear/panic – damaging people, businesses and economies. Global economies and businesses have been re-starting since July 2020. Some smart businesses have been good at re-starting global travel/meetings/incentives (for growth, sales, engagement, motivation). Equally, some businesses have slowly struggled to plan and recover -creating issues with shareholders, customers, employees, sales, marketing, engagement, motivation & comms). With rational/logical thinking, and when you understand the facts/science, the negativity and anxiety is incorrectly much bigger than the ‘true reality’. Rational and future thinking requires a positive & logical mindset, information, safety advice, confidence and guidance from global organisations. This has already enabled MICE organisers (and some of our pharma customers) to re-start their plans for organising meetings, incentives, conferences & exhibitions.

Safety & Confidence has always been important – and 2020 & 2021, it’s even more important (for businesses and people). Whilst respecting that everyone has different perspectives, roles, knowledge & opinions, the truth is – the world is a very safe place (always has been, always will be), see the facts here. In 2020, for lots of good reasons, the world felt a little less safe, and naturally confidence was temporarily reduced. Global governments and media/news made the world feel less safe & confident (because they had to). This is where we start – there is a BIG difference between ‘anxiety’ and ‘reality’. The ‘anxiety’ comes from the news/media. The ‘reality’ is – the world is alive and well, and 7.6 billion people just have 1 new virus to manage. To keep life in perspective, of the 10 nonillion viruses on planet earth reported by National Geographic, (the number looks like 10 plus 30 zeros), 219 viruses can infect humans, and there at least 12 other serious viruses that we’ve ‘managed’ for many years (e.g. Ebola, Rabies, HIV, Hantavirus, Influenza, Dengue, Marbug, Rotavirus, SARS, MERS and more). So, the world and its countries/businesses/people will simply learn to manage Covid-19. The question is – which businesses will quickly embrace this learning and survive/compete/grow, and which businesses will will be slow and fail? Time will tell ..

Our safety guide helps you improve your organise your meetings & incentives, and grow your business. To help you understand the global situation, Part 1 is high level – covering global guidance for safety, confidence, businesses, countries, destinations, travel, restrictions, quarantine, checklists & risk management. To help you with your personal situation (e.g. travel, destinations, planning), Part 2 gives you advice & solutions that are specific to your problems/needs. A few questions for you to think about .. how is your business managing safety & confidence? who are you trusting for safety guidance? do you have a global map & safety guides? how are your sales teams selling? are your meetings & events positive & motivating? do you have safety plans for your meetings & incentives? do you have all the information you need? how are you managing ‘restrictions’ across countries? which airlines & hotels are the best for safety? do you have check lists for your travellers? how are you managing everything? is your business planning for growth?
